Landscape design that reflects your values and lifestyle

Designs that meets your specifications and showcase your unique property .

I create gardens that meet individual needs, incorporating plants and materials that reflect the New Zealand environment and heritage, and your preferred garden style.

For the past 25 years I've designed garden landscapes, and I enjoy combining all elements of `soft' and `hard landscaping', to produce outstanding gardens (even some award winning ones).

Those years of experience here in New Zealand, have been complemented by frequent overseas travels and visiting outstanding gardens in numerous countries. Together they've enabled me to successfully create different garden styles, recognise the potential and possibilities of each site, identify the special character (and challenges) of the property, and achieve the brief I'm given. Hopefully creating something even better than was envisioned.

I regularly design landscapes to fullfil various statutory property development requirements in New Zealand. These include plans and reports for Special Housing Applications, the Urban Development Panels , Resource Consent Applications and Building Consent Applications.

All aspects of `hard and soft landscaping' are covered in the plans - paved areas, patios, paths, retaining walls, verandahs, pergolas, water features, decks, seating, potager gardens, raised gardens, gates, steps, and lighting. The living material - trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, lawns, ground cover plants, wildflower meadows, and orchards, are especially chosen to flourish in each unique environment.

My commissions range from residential inner city, to rural lifestyle blocks, to corporate and commercial projects.

I can create an outstanding garden for you - whether it's a fresh design for an existing garden, or a completely new landscape. I enjoy creating beautiful, functional gardens that continue to grow, evolve and enhance your lifestyle and property.
